Dr. Anthony Johnson, Interim Minister.<\/b><span class=\"s1\"><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/span>Frederick Douglass (1818-1895) was a slave, a free black, a preacher, a leading abolitionist, an advocate for women\u2019s rights, and a religious liberal. This Message will focus on Douglass\u2019s life and, especially, how his ideas about religion changed through his life. Some would include Douglass in the Humanist pantheon. This is a service in celebration of Black History Month.<\/p>\n<p>Our services begin at 10am, last an hour, and include music, readings and an address by our minister or an invited speaker.\u00a0Religious Education is offered for all children from nursery through high school.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Musicians: Richard Hobson, baritone; Ron Levy, piano.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cI Would Not Stultify Myself\u201d \u2013 Rev.
