For the months of June and July, we will Share the Porch with the Citizens for Swimming organization. Since the 1960s, the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood has supported programs in our neighboring town of Paterson. \u00a0Citizens for Swimming, a program of CAMP YDP in Paterson, provides children nine days of water fun in Ridgewood\u2019s local pool as well as swimming lessons by YMCA swim instructors. Help give city kids much needed summer heat relief and invaluable skills for water safety

Please drop\u00a0new bathing suits,\u00a0new\u00a0or like-new\u00a0towels, and beach toys, and unopened sunscreen to our collection box\u00a0on Reeb porch. (Please no sand pails–we received a donation of over 100 of them\u00a0from the Social Service Administration of Ridgewood.) Cash donations are also gratefully received:\u00a0https:\/\/www.campydp.org\/donate<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program runs Tues., Wed., and Thurs. the first three weeks of August (August 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18). Please contact me if you or your children are interested in helping out. (We document volunteer hours if needed.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
