There are many ways to become involved at The Unitarian Society of Ridgewood – from the service and religious education on Sunday mornings, to films and dinners, to our annual Fellowship Feast. Children are welcome at most events and, for the more adult-oriented programming, we do provide childcare. Many of our activities have families with children in mind, and you will find these events entertaining and engaging for the whole family.
We believe that religious development is a lifelong endeavor. We believe religious education begins with a foundation of wonder and awe and develops, with support and nurture, to a compassion for self, others and the Earth. To this end, ours is a safe congregation where our children and youth grow and learn, where they worship in an open and inspiring environment, and where service is a part of life.
We have classes from nursery-aged children through the 12th grade. Each class uses appropriate curricula that allow the children and youth to explore, develop and articulate their Unitarian Universalist faith. We know a child’s parents are their primary religious educators. We are here to support you and to help you with this important lifelong work.
