The Environmental Justice Committee has joined a coalition of partners called Empower New Jersey (empowernewjersey.com), which was formed to lobby Governor Murphy to place the brakes on expanding fossil fuel projects in the state. These project perpetuate, for years to come, our dependence on fossil fuels at the expense of clean green energy. We were impressed that the coalition seeks justice for low income communities that are disproportionally affected by pollution and are already bearing the health burdens of burning fossil fuels.
