NEW JERSEY GREEN AMENDMENT – YES WE CAN !
The Environmental Justice Team supports and promotes a constitutional amendment to the NJ Constitution which would guarantee our right to Pure Water, Clean Air, a Stable Climate & Healthy Environments, For All People, Including Future Generations, Regardless of Race, Ethnicity, Religion or Income.
Our current laws are designed to accommodate pollution, rather than prevent it, with poor, migrant and minority communities particularly hard hit. New Jersey is one of the first states to consider a Green Amendment to the State constitution that would bypass the laws that have failed us and turn to amending the ultimate authority – the State constitution.

Our Mission Statement
We affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. The Environmental Justice Committee seeks to learn and teach about the sustainability of our planet, to find ways to create a sustainable way of life, and to pursue avenues to protect the majesty and awe of nature. We recognize that inequities exist and that often those with the least power are the most impacted by environmental destruction. By helping to protect the planet we hope to work toward creating a more just and compassionate world.
